What’s making tourists finally spend more than 5 days in Port Elizabeth, South Africa

A result of the variety of activities on offer at 28 towpath, we’ve noticed that travellers are now spending more time in PE than ever.

28 towpath offers the best of both worlds : located on the riverfront (a natural environment which offers tourists a quiet space to unwind) and 15 km from the vibrant PE down town citylife.

Many tourists simply sit back and read a book or watch the river flow by for 2 days.

Another popular day in the life of a traveller here at 28 towpath is breakfast ~ birdwatching tour on a SUP ~ catch the 11:20am train from Redhouse to PE / the start of a PE downtown walking tour of route 67 ~ lunch at the etheopian restaurant ~ mini bus to the beach front for beer at the beer shack ~ 5pm / 6pm train back to Redhouse~ potjie on stoep ~ djembe drumming around the fire pit ~ jump naked off the jetty into the river ~ Bed.

28 towpath is also involved and supports various social and environmental  upliftment projects and communities. Tourists love to go and meet the people at the heart of these projects.

And tourists love the Addo and Scotia game farm experience.

Other lekker activities include:

Windsurfing and surfing lessons
